Honda Cb450 K1 1968
Up for grabs is my 1968 Honda cb450 k1. I purchased this bike a couple of years ago to use as my daily ride. The bike was imported from the United States but according to the Honda owners club it was a general export model hence the KPH on the Speedo. When I first got the bike I rebuilt the front forks, changed all cables throughout, new battery, a pair of Avon road riders fitted, carbs cleaned and balanced and generally a good once over inc oil etc. the bike performed perfectly for two years of daily riding until a month ago when the timing chain jumped a few teeth resulting in the pistons colliding with the valves. The chain did not break but I’m guessing just stretched and jumped. I have not stripped the engine down but I’m guessing you will be looking at bent valves unless you are really lucky and
