1969 Raleigh Wisp Moped Complete Running V5C + Holdall
This is a 1969 Raleigh Wisp Moped with a 50cc engine. It comes with a current V5C, three early tax discs, and a 1978 MOT certificate. The moped has had one previous owner and is registered as a Bicycle. The original frame and engine numbers are correct. The condition of the moped is as seen in the photos, with some rust due to poor storage and chrome that has suffered. The moped comes with a hard-to-find original black rear holdall in good working condition.
The moped is complete and runs, but it requires a full restoration, overhaul, and recommissioning before use. The engine has very good compression and appears to have never been taken apart. The drive belt cover and front and rear mudguards have been replaced, while the white seat is not the original color and will need to be re-covered. The lighting system and horn are present but have not been tested.
The moped is being sold “as is” with no returns accepted. Cash on collection is preferred. The moped is located on the east side of Cambridge near the A11 and can only be collected from that location.
