1968 Triumph Tiger T90/T100 500cc Matching Frame & Engine Numbers Rebuilt

For sale is my 1968 Triumph T90, which has a T100 500cc top end. It is registered with the DVLA as a 500cc and is considered a historic vehicle, so no tax or MOT is needed.

I bought the bike in mid-2021 and used it a few times during the summer but have since found that I prefer my Moto Guzzi. The bike has been sitting in my garage ever since, and due to health issues, I am now too weak to kick it over, so it’s time to sell it.

The previous owner sorted out most of the work on the bike, including painting the frame, forks, swinging arm, and hubs. The engine was rebuilt, and it now has electronic ignition, new sprockets and chain, and aftermarket chrome clocks with the ‘Triumph’ logo. The chrome is in excellent condition, and it has new wheel rims and spokes. The tires are also in good condition. The bike has some oil weeps typical of a Triumph, but overall it is in very good condition as shown in the photographs. The total mileage is 3066 since the rebuild.

I have hardly used the bike, but it will likely only need light recommissioning since it has been standing for some time. A carb clean and reset may be necessary. I have charged the battery, but I cannot kick start it, and I cannot help with loading. However, I believe it could be ridden without any problems.

Collection is from Orpington, and this is a UK-only auction. Collection will only be possible once cleared funds are in my account, and I prefer bank transfer and not cash. The bike must be collected within seven days unless otherwise agreed. I will not renegotiate once you have bought it, so please come and view it before bidding. If you bid and win without viewing, that is up to you. I’m open to offers, and the bike is advertised elsewhere, so the auction may end early.

If you have any questions or to arrange a viewing, please contact me. No time wasters, tire kickers, or anything other than genuine buyers, please. Please note that the date of first registration is 6th September 1968 and not what is in the heading, which I am unable to update. It is also difficult to photograph the crazing on the tank, so I recommend viewing the bike in person.
