For sale is a Jawa 350cc Model 354 motorcycle produced in 1964, supplied by a genuine UK dealer with matching numbers. The engine is free and has good compression, but the bike is in need of restoration to some degree, which will be up to the new owner.
I acquired the motorcycle from a collection of old bikes, and it has been standing for over thirty years, making it a potential barn find. Despite its age, it is mostly complete and has an age-related V5, with the taxation class Historical Vehicle, meaning there is no road tax to pay. A letter of authentication from the Jawa-CZ Club, confirming its status as a genuine UK motorcycle, will be included in the sale.
The mileage on the bike shows 5663, but I cannot confirm if it’s genuine. Looking at its condition, I believe it has been dry stored and may have been in an old, dry building for over 30 years.
Jawa parts are readily available and can be purchased from JAWASHOP, among other sources. I have purchased a new ignition switch, two new spark plugs, and plug caps, which will come with the bike. However, I have not attempted to start it, leaving that pleasure to the new owner.
I am selling at a very realistic price as the bike requires restoration and some parts. I prefer cash on collection and would welcome a speedy collection as my main reason for selling is to free up room. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
