1962 Triumph Motorbike Motorcycle Pre Unit TR6SS 650 Restoration Project 650cc
For sale is a 1962 motorcycle project in need of restoration. The frame and engine numbers are D162**. The bike has been partially restored with the frame and swinging arm painted, along with the tank and guards. New parts include exhaust pipe, seat, wiring loom, shock absorbers, tank badges and trims, petrol taps, sump shield, front wheel trim, and RHP main bearings. The crankshaft is on -.020″ with good threads and keyways, and the cylinder head has anti-resonating runners. The bike features a 1962-only oil tank and correct part numbered 376 monobloc. Some parts have been re-chromed, including the side stand, gearbox cover, and chronometric clock cases. The rear wheel rim has been re-chromed, while the front one is in as-found condition.
The bike is missing a silencer and other parts required for completion. Some parts will need specialist attention, repair, or replacement. This project is suitable only for experienced restorers. The bike has been in storage for a long time, and there is no paperwork included. The seller can explain the registration process if you are unfamiliar with it. The bike is loosely assembled and could fit into a car.
The seller may be interested in a part exchange with a collection of classic British motorcycle parts. The motorcycle is for sale on a collection-only basis from Brentwood, Essex, with cash on collection within a month of purchase. If you wish to discuss delivery or other payment methods, these need to be agreed before purchase.
