This 1962 motorcycle has frame and engine numbers D162** and restoration work has been started. The frame and swinging arm have been painted, as have the tank and guards. The front forks have been re-built, and new parts have been added, including an exhaust pipe, seat, wiring loom, shock absorbers, tank badges and trims, petrol taps, sump shield, front wheel trim, and RHP main bearings. The crankshaft is on -.020″ with good threads and keyways and has correct for period shell bearing rods. The cylinder head has the anti-resonating runners and the correct period 1962-only oil tank. The correct part-numbered 376 monobloc is also included. Some parts, including the rear wheel rim, have been re-chromed.
Note that no silencer is included, and other parts will be required to complete the project. Additionally, some parts may require repair, specialist attention, or replacement, and this project is only for experienced restorers.
The motorcycle has been in storage for a long time, and there is no paperwork included. However, the seller can explain the registration process if you are unfamiliar with it.
The motorcycle is currently loosely assembled and could fit into a car. The seller may be interested in a part exchange with a collection of classic British motorcycle parts.
