For sale is a 1962 Norton Dominator 99 with a 600cc engine (also known as Model 14). The bike was registered in January 1962, so it was likely manufactured in 1961. It is in unrestored but presentable condition and has been in storage for the last 6 years. It has only covered 35 miles since the last MOT in 2017, and prior to that, it is believed to have been unused for many years.

The owner, who is in his 80s, has asked us to sell the bike as he can no longer ride. The bike has matching engine and frame numbers and its original registration number. It is also fitted with period alloy wheel rims and a few other period extras. The bike starts easily and sounds healthy, and all gears select smoothly. However, it has been standing for years, so a thorough checkover and possibly new tyres would be essential prior to use on the open roads.

We have given the bike a quick checkover and have found that the kick start return spring requires replacement (a new one is included), and the dip/main beam light switch is faulty (although the lights, including brake light, work). The charging system appears to work, but the battery is likely past its best.

The bike is being sold exactly as received, as per the owner’s request.
