Up for sale is a 1960 BSA Bantam D7 with a 175cc 2-stroke engine. This bike was purchased a couple of years ago and hasn’t been touched since, making it a great project for someone with a passion for restoring classic motorcycles.

Please note that this bike needs some work to get it back on the road. The electrical side needs sorting, as the wiring loom is not connected to anything, and the engine currently works directly from the coil. The brakes also need some attention before the bike can be used safely, and the speedo cable is missing.

While the photos and video were taken at the end of summer, we’ve recently tried starting the bike and have encountered some issues. The bike doesn’t want to start and is constantly flooding with fuel, indicating a possible carb problem. However, prior to this issue, the bike was running well and starting easily.

The bike is registered as of 04-04-1960 and is tax and MOT exempt, making it a great investment for a classic motorcycle enthusiast. It’s currently located in Totnes, Devon.
